Question 1

What is Giviways?

Accepted Answer

Giviways is a free giveaway platform for gaming communities. Approved creators host giveaways for gift cards, gear, in-game items and more. Anyone can enter for free, and winners are chosen by a random draw.

Question 2

Is Giviways free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Entering giveaways is always free, and no purchase is ever required. Creators can publish one giveaway a month on the free Basic plan and only pay for extra giveaways or tools.

Question 3

How does Giviways keep giveaways fair and safe?

Accepted Answer

Only approved creators can host giveaways. Each giveaway publishes its rules, dates and eligible regions up front, entries go through anti-abuse checks, and winners are chosen by an automated random draw. Winners can also confirm whether their prize arrived.

Question 4

Which platforms does Giviways work with?

Accepted Answer

Each giveaway is built around one platform: YouTube, Twitch, Discord, Instagram, TikTok or Facebook. Giviways isn't affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these platforms.

Question 5

How do I enter a giveaway?

Accepted Answer

Create a free account and finish onboarding, open an active giveaway, work through the steps on its page, and submit your entry. It usually takes about a minute. Creators can review entries and disqualify incomplete ones.

Question 6

What are entries and daily entries?

Accepted Answer

An entry is one chance in a giveaway's draw. You get a daily entry allowance that resets every day. Entering a giveaway uses part of it and adds an entry for you in that giveaway.

Question 7

Can I enter the same giveaway more than once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. While a giveaway is active, you can come back each day and add one more entry to it, as long as you still have daily entries left.

Question 8

How can I get more entries?

Accepted Answer

Your daily entry allowance can grow through Weekly Rewards, the Bonus Spin and your rank, and you can invite friends to a giveaway. Some giveaways also offer bonus entries, which the giveaway page explains.

Question 9

Do I need to connect my accounts, and what happens when I do?

Accepted Answer

Only when a giveaway or feature asks for it. Giviways uses connected accounts for requested features, such as eligibility checks. See the Privacy Policy for the information each connection may access, how it is used, and how to manage access.

Question 10

Who can enter a giveaway?

Accepted Answer

Anyone with a Giviways account who is old enough to enter a binding contract where they live (or has permission where the law allows), and who lives in a region the giveaway is open to. Each giveaway page shows its rules and eligible regions.

Question 11

Why are giveaways limited by region, and why can't I change my country often?

Accepted Answer

Creators choose which countries or regions can enter, and this is shown on the giveaway page. To keep those limits fair, country changes on your profile are limited by a cooldown and a yearly maximum.

Question 12

How are winners chosen?

Accepted Answer

When a giveaway ends, winners are chosen by an automated random draw from eligible entries. More entries improve your odds but never guarantee a win, and nobody, including the creator, can influence the draw.

Question 13

What happens if I win?

Accepted Answer

You'll be notified, and the giveaway page shows the prize instructions for winners. Work through them so the creator can deliver your prize, then confirm on the giveaway page once it arrives.

Question 14

Who delivers the prize, and who pays shipping or taxes?

Accepted Answer

Creators are responsible for delivering their prizes, arranging any shipping, and paying applicable taxes or duties on the prize, as set out in our Terms.

Question 15

How does delivery confirmation work, and what if my prize doesn't arrive?

Accepted Answer

On the giveaway page you can confirm you received your prize, say it hasn't arrived yet (with the date you expect it), or report a problem, which our team reviews. Ratings are optional, anything shown publicly is opt-in, and photos are reviewed before they appear.

Question 16

How do I get help?

Accepted Answer

Use the Contact page to reach the Giviways team. Creators on higher plans also get in-app Priority Support.

Question 17

How do I stop or change Giviways emails?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard → Profile and use the giveaway emails switch to turn them on or off.

Question 18

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard → Profile → Account Deletion and request deletion. We email you a confirmation link before anything is deleted. Deleting your account is permanent and removes your profile, giveaway entries and creator data. Creators may be blocked while they have active giveaways, unresolved obligations or spendable credit, and some records are kept for legal, payment, fraud-prevention and security reasons.

Question 19

How do I become a creator?

Accepted Answer

Apply on the Become a Creator page and connect your Twitch or YouTube account. Channels that meet our audience-size, recent-activity and account-history checks are approved automatically, and others are reviewed by our team before you can publish giveaways.

Question 20

How does hosting a giveaway work?

Accepted Answer

Set your prize, dates, rules and eligible regions, choose the platform you're running it on, publish, and share your giveaway link. When it ends, Giviways runs the random draw. You deliver the prize, and your dashboard shows how the giveaway performed.

Question 21

How much does it cost to host a giveaway?

Accepted Answer

Publishing one giveaway a month is free on the Basic plan. Paid plans include more monthly giveaways and extra tools, and Single Giveaway passes cover one-off giveaways. See Pricing for current plans.

Question 22

Do I need a giveaway bot?

Accepted Answer

No. You create and manage the giveaway on Giviways and share its link on your platform. There's no bot to install and no permissions to grant.

Question 23

Do I still have to comply with each platform's rules?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Creators are responsible for making sure their giveaway complies with the rules of the platform it runs on, such as contest and promotion policies, and with applicable law. Giviways provides tools for running giveaways but doesn't replace those rules.

Question 24

What are Boost and Mega Boost?

Accepted Answer

Boost and Mega Boost are one-time purchases that promote a published giveaway. Boost features it on the homepage and Explore for 7 days and sends an alert to your Giviways followers. Mega Boost adds a platform-wide spotlight alert and one appearance in the next daily Hot Giveaways email.

Question 25

What do the Trusted Creator and Verified Winner badges mean?

Accepted Answer

Trusted Creator is earned automatically after 10 successful giveaways: giveaways that ended normally, had an approved prize and a selected winner, and where the winner confirmed delivery or any issue was resolved. Verified Winner appears on a creator's profile once at least one of their prizes has been confirmed as delivered.

Question 26

What results can I see after a giveaway?

Accepted Answer

Your dashboard shows entries, views and participation for each giveaway. Higher plans add audience breakdowns, CSV exports and Advanced Analytics reports. Reports use aggregated data and don't include entrant usernames.

Question 27

Does Giviways guarantee audience growth?

Accepted Answer

No. Results depend on your prize, your promotion and your audience. Giviways gives you the tools to run and review a giveaway, but can't promise a specific outcome.
